About David Sutherland
I grew up in Europe (Elementary School in France and High School in Germany) engaged in the creativity of a variety of cultures. I have always been drawn to creative people and their inventions, engaging unlike minds in the development of unique solutions to difficult challenges.
As a Senior Lecturer at the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business, I have taught courses in Entrepreneurship, Design Thinking, and currently run seminars on the topic of the Creative Economy. In addition, I have lectured at Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia, CEDIM Design Institute in Monterrey, Mexico and GISMA Business School in Hamburg, Germany.
I received my Ph.D. from the University of Virginia. I live happily on a farm in Athens, Georgia, with my wife Sarah, dog Norah and a variety of horses.
